Fall Flying is the Best!

The kids are back to school, the hay has been cut and the maple leaves are beginning to turn.  What a great time to fly model airplanes outdoors in New England!

Join us for this Saturday’s (9/19) meet on the beautiful rolling fields of Woodsom Farm in Amesbury, MA.  Check out the meet FLYER for flying events, directions and contacts.

Thanks again to clubster John R for sharing his photos from the August 22 Woodsom Farm meet.  The gang had a lot of fun which is what it’s all about.

2026-27 Indoor One Design Model Announced!

In  honor of the 100th anniversary of Lucky Lindy’s transatlantic flight, the Phil Thibodeau “Spirit of St Louis” Bostonian has been selected as the One Design model for the upcoming Indoor Season.

Visit the One Design page for free downloads of the “Spirit” full-size Plan and Construction Article.  Check out the Rules too, many of which are intended to simplify construction of the model.  Your “Spirit” need not be colored silver either – this is not a scale event so show off your creative “Spirit”!

Indoor Flying Session Dates Posted!

All of the dates for flying at the Glastonbury High School in Glastonbury, CT have been posted to the Calendar.  As usual, most dates are half-day flying sessions (join the gang for lunch afterward!) and there will be two full-day Contests, one in January and another in April.  Glastonbury is one of the best indoor free flight flying sites on the East Coast – it’s worth the drive!

Indoor flying dates at the Penn Brook School in Georgetown, MA will be announced and posted to the Calendar soon!    These are full-day flying sessions with a terrific group of modelers flying some unique and fun free flight events.

Monthly Club Meetings to Resume (Not Sure When!)

We’re hoping to have our monthly club meetings at the Georgetown, MA public library again in the winter months.   This is a  casual way to learn building techniques, ask questions and meet other club members.  Like our meets, it’s all low-key and for fun.

Join the club to get on the mailing list to hear when and where these club meetings are taking place.

See you at Woodsom Farm in Amesbury this Saturday, gang!
