No alternate colors or markings? Might be nice if one could tell the models apart in flight. I remember flying a Sagitta 600 RC glider at the Nats with 5 or 6 other Sagitta 600s. At a certain altitude, they all look the same color, and it was maddening, especially when most of us were in the same thermal.
Yes, color scheme is completely optional and creative schemes are encouraged. There may be a slight hit to your charisma scores (read the Rules on the One Design page), but this is a small price to pay for standing out in the crowd, no? Besides, we’re flying indoors here with 30ft or less the typical sightline difference between the flyer and his/her model. We’re betting you can pick your model out at that range even if they are all colored silver. Build one and let’s find out!
I don’t see the need to be governed by some sort of sudo-Scale rules. This is supposed to be a fun event. Let the imagination dictate the livery we paste on the models. Where did I put those sheets of red tissue and the decals with the cuddly black crosses?
